Golf on the Wirral Peninsular

The Wirral boasts 14 golf courses including one of the oldest seaside courses in the country - the Royal Liverpool at Hoylake. This is a world class course that hosted the 2006 Open Championships.

Getting there

Most of the courses, including the Royal Liverpool course at Hoylake, are no more than 45 minutes drive from Chester. Some can be reached by train, for example, it takes one hour and ten minutes from Chester station to Hoylake station - about a quarter of a mile from the Royal Liverpool course.
