Chester attractions within walking distance of Baker's cottage

The cottage is conveniently situated in Handbridge which is approximately 10 minutes walk from Chester city centre and just over 1 mile (1.8 km) or 15 to 20 minutes walk from the race course.

Chester train station is 1.4 miles (2.3 km) from the cottage and there is a taxi rank just outside the station.

The city centre is very compact so you can reach most of the main attractions within 5 to 20 minutes walk including the city wall, the riverside Groves and Chester cathedral.

The cottage kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, however, if you prefer to let someone else do the cooking, then you will find plenty of places to eat out within walking distance in Handbridge and Chester city centre (see our restaurant reviews page).
